About
Experienced enough to respect Delphi. Modern enough to move it forward.
Jakša Group is a European software engineering company based in Slovenia. Founded in 1992, we have worked across multiple generations of Delphi, enterprise architecture and development technology.

Why Delphi history matters
A large Delphi system is rarely just technical debt. It is successful software that accumulated years of business knowledge, integrations, exceptions and operational experience. Modernizing it requires respect for what works and the judgment to recognize what should change.
A senior Delphi engineering team
Our team includes long-tenured engineers who have spent years working together on complex business-critical Delphi platforms. Clients work with experienced people who understand the consequences of architectural and implementation decisions.
AI changes the Delphi opportunity
Modern AI tooling makes it possible to analyze, document and transform large Delphi codebases at a scale and speed that was not practical a few years ago. We combine that leverage with experienced engineering supervision and domain understanding.

Founder
Matej Jakša
I started Jakša Group in 1992, and I have spent the thirty years since building business software rather than talking about it.
For more than two decades our engineers worked on one enterprise platform in the cruise industry — millions of lines of code, running twenty-four hours a day, where a bad release is somebody's working night. You learn a particular kind of care from that. You also learn how much of a company's knowledge ends up inside its software, and how little of it is written down anywhere else.
That is why I am careful with the word legacy. A system that has run a business for twenty years is not a mistake to be corrected. It is an asset that has become hard to change.
AI has altered what is possible here, and I do not say that lightly. Work that used to be uneconomic — reading a large unfamiliar codebase properly, recovering the rules buried inside it, documenting what nobody remembers — is work we can now actually do. The judgment still has to come from engineers who have lived with systems like this. That combination is what Jakša Group does today.
